Welcome to Your New Workplace - Vol. 1

After a long and grueling war against the Kingdom of Arcadia, the Galleria Empire stands on the brink of collapse. On the hellish front lines of its most brutal battlefield, a young girl's scream rings out: "This isn't what you promised! This isn't what you promised! This isn't what you promised at all!" The voice belongs to Lina, an eight-year-old girl who enlisted in the military to save the orphanage that raised her. She can't wield a sword or use magic. All she has is the unassuming skill Multilingual Comprehension-and memories of a past life spent enduring endless overtime at an exploitative company and playing strategy simulation games! Lina was promised a well-paid desk job at a safe command post. Instead, she finds herself in the middle of the battlefield, forced into the role of a mysterious military strategist. No one yet realizes that the commands issued by her tiny hands will overturn every convention and completely transform the course of the war-not even Lina herself. As for Lina, she has only one desperate request: a slice of deliciously sweet cake.
